GoTab is looking for self-motivated, entrepreneurial, tech savvy, and fun-spirited Ambassadors to join our team. GoTab is creating the next generation dining experiences with app-less mobile ordering, payments, and a revenue management system for the hospitality industry. As an Ambassador, you will work in an exciting, fast-paced start-up environment. You will help introduce restaurant operators to GoTab, proactively prospecting and bringing in your own sales leads and offering them gift cards so these prospects can experience GoTab for themselves. Your days are spent in the field prospecting and talking to restaurant operators. You will drive our growth by acquiring new restaurants in your assigned territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Going door-to-door 4 days per week meeting GMs, Owners and Directors of Operations and encouraging them to experience GoTab as a diner.
  • Achieve sales goals by meeting 80 operators per week and getting a large percentage of them to dine in a GoTab restaurant with a gift card
  • Develop your own prospects and pipeline
  • Discuss GoTab software products and clearly articulate the differentiated value of GoTab technology to prospects
  • Manage a large pipeline (from prospecting to setting meeting for a product demo)
  • Use our CRM system to document all of your sales deals and activities
  • Work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. Self-reliant (remote role)
  • Focus on “Local” (1-10 locations) or “Mid-Market” up to 50 locations
  • Walking up to 7 miles per day when visiting restaurants

Skills & Requirements:

  • Hospitality and/or restaurant experience preferred
  • Deep knowledge of the local restaurant market that you will work in
  • Social media influencer in the food space of the local market preferred
  • Relationships with local restaurant operators preferred
  • Previous entry level sales experience preferred
  • Technically Savvy
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Great communicator
  • Must be willing and able to travel to different restaurants, bars, and other venues for face to face prospecting and meetings as needed

You will drive our growth by acquiring new restaurants in your assigned territory and growing these existing accounts into the full suite of GoTab products. You will not only acquire new customers but also manage existing accounts and make sure they are achieving their desired business outcomes from their relationship with GoTab.

  • Focus on “Local” (1-10 locations), and if you have the experience you will also be responsible for the “Mid-Market” (11-50 locations)

As a Growth Marketing Manager, you will help introduce GoTab to the hospitality industry and grow the platform. The Growth Marketer will be responsible for designing market-facing experiments, deploying them, and analyzing results. You are a data lover, analytical thinker, active listener, hands-on product lover, and risk-taker. You thrive in ambiguity and enjoy investigating the root causes of problems. Most of all, you’re results driven with a meticulous eye for details; obsessing over optimizing campaigns and you can’t stop and won’t stop until you squeeze out the last drop of efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Design experiments leveraging historical data sets, baselined behavior, competitive and best practice research.
  • Create acquisition and monetization models, identify risky assumptions, establish disciplined hypotheses, and share learnings with the rest of the organization.
  • Launch experiments using your SEO and user acquisition skills to test freemiums and free trials. Also, eager to test other conversion ideas through a variety of channels. Be prepared to share learnings from failures as well as successes.
  • Represent the voice of the customer by reaching out to prospects or customers to understand their perspectives, jobs-to-be-done, and other pain points to design and learn from experiments.

Skills:

  • Experience working in B2B or B2C SaaS Company.
  • You have a proven track record in running multiple successful (and failed!) CPC and SEO campaigns.
  • In-depth and diverse experience in data-driven experimentation and conversion optimization; especially in testing user acquisition and upgrade experiences for freemium and free trials. You reach for data first, but in its absence, you are able to create models, identify hypotheses, and find the best way of validating assumptions.
  • Strong understanding of creating Lead Conversion and Monetization Models and Plans & Pricing Strategy.
  • Voracious learner, constantly researching best practices, new innovative marketing strategies, and quickly picking up on new tools, all while trying to be more efficient and effective in your work.

GoTab is looking for a creative problem-solving, tenacious and motivated individual to join our Engineering team as a Deployment Engineer.  In this role, you will be responsible for post-sales, pre-installation consulting with clients to plan and execute deployment of GoTab hardware and software on-site at customer locations.  In addition to possessing the technical skills listed below, you must be able to think proactively about the unique scenarios of each installation site, communicate effectively with clients, and think on your feet to solve unanticipated problems without getting flustered.  The ideal candidate will be technically proficient with networking technologies, have some experience with software development and/or configuration, and have previous experience in the hospitality industry.

This is not a remote work position. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, our office is closed until further notice. GoTab employees are currently working remotely but will be required to resume in-office attendance at our Arlington, VA headquarters once it is safe to do so.  The Deployment Engineer role, by its nature, requires on-site visits with clients, and therefore requires local travel.  You will be expected to adhere to CDC-recommended safety protocols, including wearing of face coverings, maintaining social distancing when visiting clients on site, and frequent personal sanitization.

 This role, currently, is a combination of installation and maintenance of GoTab hardware and second-tier tech support for that hardware. It will be both technical and customer-facing.

As a Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of deploying GoTab hardware, including, but not limited to:

  • Provisioning customer-purchased devices with GoTab software
  • Shipping devices to provided locations
  • Performing installation of hardware on the client network remotely (with non-technical, on-site client representatives) as well as in-person individually.
  • Testing hardware to ensure proper functionality

You will assist the Customer Success Team with technical troubleshooting on GoTab hardware, including Point of Sale (POS) Terminals, networked and serial/USB printers, GoTab Printer Routers and handheld payment terminals.

Required:

  • Working knowledge of network architecture and functionality
    • General knowledge of LAN from DEMARC to end device
    • VLANs
    • IP addressing
    • MAC addresses
  • Working knowledge of Linux
    • Basic navigation and commands of a Linux terminal
    • Secure Shell (SSH) and Secure FTP (SFTP)
  • Customer relations skills
    • Must provide high-quality service in a high-pressure situation
    • Must provide hospitality companies hospitality in our service
    • Must be able to communicate complex technical information in a non-technical way to allow for end-user comprehension
  • Flexibility in travel, driving reasonable distances on a semi-regular basis
  • Weekend availability on a rotating semi-regular basis
  • A high willingness to learn, adapt and grow with GoTab
  • Team player

Preferred but not required:

  • CompTIA Network+ certification or Cisco CCNA Certification
  • Any hospitality experience
  • Basic python knowledge
